Ways to be Cool!!!!

So I was looking at random pictures of people on facebook - I do this a lot to get ideas for photography, anyway I came across this awesome list of Ways to be Cool!  Check it out because basically it is AMAZING!!!

I guess this list was left on someones desk - someone else walked by and liked it so much they took a picture.  I just loved all the ideas!

What I am dying to know is what was scribbled out...and who Steve is!!!!

Books, Books, and more Books!

The other day Cortney decided she wanted me to read a whole bunch of books to  her!  I love reading and was delighted, but I have to admit reading all those books made my voice a little sore.  We read over 40 books!  She wanted to read more, but it was time to start dinner.  Here are some pictures!
We were on her bed reading the books.  When we finished one we just set them down by the pillow, but it quickly spread over half her bed!
Yesterday we went to the park, and I took a couple pictures of her in the swings!

I love this one, even though she isn't looking!

We love going to the park!  Cortney really enjoys "under doggies!" on the swings.  Yesterday when we went most of the time all she wanted to do was make "bird nests" out of the chipped wood on the ground.  She would make big piles and then make a hole in the middle.  We found sticks and pretended that they were birds coming home to the nests.  I love spending time with my mini me!

Copper Hills High School - Homecoming Game!

You might wonder why our family would go to a high school football game - well Jake is in the marching band (and is awesome - but that goes without saying)  and Jenn is the cheer coach (who is also awesome), so basically we went for the halftime show!  I love pictures!  I took quite a few - enjoy!

I took a picture of someones Letterman's jacket -
Cortney was so excited to be at the game!  About 10 minutes before we left Cortney repeated this about 100 times - "Are you ready for the football (pause) game?!"  We got there and then she got a balloon which made her even more excited - as seen in the picture below!
Here is Cortney and Papa having a balloon fight!
Here is Ryan behind a balloon....
And here is Ryan!  FYI - He is officially taller than me now.  But don't worry Cort is still shorter than me!
 Cort and Aunt Jenny!
Here is a couple shots of her girls!

Jenn found this balloon - I guess it came out of the package that way so they drew a face on it!
Aunt Jenny let Cortney play with real pom poms!  She loved it!
Cort also got a tattoo of a Grizzly paw!
This is Cortney putting the pom poms in Ryan's face.  Ryan and Cort are totally like brother and sister, they even argue like brother and sister!  Ryan is a very good uncle!

Cort and her Daddy - PS - it was a white out game, that is why we are all wearing white!
Ok - I know I look really tired in these pictures - I just started my last semester (yay!) but my stress is coming out in my dreams at night - seriously effecting the amount of rest I am actually getting.  But even with looking tired, a woman did ask me what year I was (like junior or senior) um yeah, pretty sure I am 24 have been married 4 years and have a 2 year old, thanks.  I like looking young don't get me wrong - but it will just be nice when people don't think I am in high school anymore!

 Love this picture of Cort!
Waaayyyy tired in this one!  Oh well - 2 weeks down, only 12 to go and I will have my degree!
This is the front of Jake...
This is the back of Jake...
This is Jenn and the cheerleaders cheering Jake on!  (Lucky guy!)
These are hard to see but I did not have my zoom lens, it is the pre show where the cheerleaders and marching band did a little thing for everyone to see.

 The Grizzly!
This was hard to get a picture of - but you know the big paper that the players run through?  Well it said "Here kitty kitty"  because the other team had some kind of cat mascot.  They also filled it with balloons so when they ran through they all came out!
Picture of the players coming out!
 And the balloons flying up!
This is Cortney watching the balloons flying away :)  cute girl!
Picture of the game - I love the mountains in the background, cool place to have a game!
I think this was Cortney looking at either Ryan's balloon or it is when daddy put his hat on my head...don't remember which.
Cortney wanted to go on a walk with Ryan, again all I have to say is he is such a good uncle!
Jenn and Spencer!  Jenn got him to wear a cheer shirt, hehe!  He even got to sit down with the cheer coaches and have sideline seats to the game!
Getting darker!  Here is Cort and Nana!  You can see Jason's head popping out in back of them, he was there too!
Little later when it got darker...
Cort loved playing with the pom poms, she kept saying "Go Copper Hills!"  Or "Go Jake!"

It was a fun night, and I know you are dying to know who won, but I don't know because we left at half time, so we could get home before 9:30.  But this much I do know: my sister said they have never won a homecoming game before, and they have never beat this team before.  The other team was ahead when we left, but Cooper Hills was playing pretty good, so who knows?!

Ninjas and Make overs!

Two stories this time!

First is from primary yesterday.  On Sundays I teach 7 - 9 year old's in our ward.  During sharing time we were drawing pictures to send to our missionaries in our ward.  One of the boys in my class drew a picture of a Ninja, then wrote "May your heart be as strong as this Ninja!"  - And the best part - it was a Sister  Missionary! I bet she is going to love it!

The second story is from earlier today.  I went to go get Cortney out of her room after quiet time,  I love seeing what she is doing when I go in!  Today she had this little toy stuffed bunny and she was using her play hair doing kit.  She had the brush, the curling iron and hair dryer all set out and was fixing the bunnies hair.  She told me she was making the bunnies hair pretty!  I love little girls!

Just like Rapunzel!

I know I just posted earlier today but Cortney was so cute at our trip to the park tonight I didn't want to forget!

We went to the park and Cortney started trying to climb the long pole they have - most people just slide down it - like a fireman's pole.  Anyway Cortney was trying for a good 30 seconds to climb that thing then she turned to me and said "Mom!  Look just like Rapunzel!"  Her new favorite movie is Tangled and she was thinking the pole was like her hair!  I love that she has such an imagination and can think of things in a creative way instead of taking them like they are!

A Recent Conversation...

This was a recent conversation between me and my mini me:

C = Cortney
M = Mom, or me!

C - "Mom?"

M- "Yes?"

C - "Mom?"

M - "Yeah?"

C- "Mom?"

M- "Yes Cortney?"

C - "Mom?"

M- "Cortney?"

C- "Yes?"

Two year olds are fun!  In other notes Cortney recently discovered she can make her tummy go in and out and finds it to be hilarious!!  She has also been eating and sleeping more than usually lately which means...another growth spurt.  Spurt?  Is that how you spell it?  That is a weird word that I don't think I have ever written in my life before.  Oh well, the point is Cortney is going to grow again!  She is already so tall!  She fits in 4t clothes height wise and 2t weight wise because she is skinny!  I look at her sometimes and feel like I don't feed her enough, then I remember that she ate an entire carton of strawberries by herself for breakfast the other day and remember she eats plenty!  I guess it doesn't matter how tall she is as long as she is healthy!

Chris and I are both busy with school.  This is my last semester, and I am so glad it is!  Chris has one semester left after this one, it is kind of an exciting time in our lives!  We are not sure where exactly we are going to end up after school but we are looking forward to figuring everything out together within the next year !

Jenn's Wedding!

Yesterday on 9-10-11 Jenn was sealed to Spencer!  We are all so happy for them, and it was such a beautiful day!  I was so nervous about taking their pictures that I barely slept 3 nights before the wedding, but I can sleep well now seeing how they turned out!  I took over 1200 pictures, so there are a lot to go through but I am amazed at this talent I have been blessed with!  I posted these on face book, but here are a couple of my favorites!

I took a bunch of pictures of them when they first came out, but none where they were both looking, so I just picked my favorite!

Now this is cool!  I am in the picture and taking it at the same time!  I am in the bottom right, I am holding a remote control to take the picture - that is how the magic happens!  PS - love Jakes face!
 Pretty!

 Ring shot!

This next one is probably my favorite!  So stunning!  I still am surprised I took it!  All those prayers I said really paid off!
This is Spencers family - I haven't edited our families yet, but I loved that we took them in the Joesph Smith building, such a pretty place!

I thought this was a pretty unique shot of the temple!
It was a great day!  Like I said I took plenty of pictures so there are a lot to go through.  I'm hoping to go through the rest by the end of the week because my final semester of school starts tomorrow!  But that will keep me busy the first couple of days.

Congrats again to Jenn and Spencer!  So happy for you two!
