Where's Ben?

Tonight daddy is playing with his band, so Cortney and I read scriptures and said prayers by ourselves tonight.  When we say prayer as a family we all kneel down on pillows.  Each of us has a certain one we use every time, Cortney makes sure of it (she is defiantly a creature of habit).

So tonight she asked where daddy was because he wasn't sitting on his pillow, I told her he was playing with his band and he would be back later.  Then she asks "Where's Ben?"

Not sure who Ben is...I don't even know if she watches a show with a person named Ben, so I told her he was out there somewhere, and maybe he would come next time.  She seemed satisfied with this answer for now.

Easter Photo Shoot...only our favorites!

Here are some of our favorites from Cortney's Easter photo shoot.  There were so many good ones!  Of course you will see she is wearing her boots :)  couldn't get her off them if I tried, plus I wanted her in a good mood, and man does she love those boots!  These are the same ones on facebook.

I Looked Out the Window and What Did I See?

Popcorn Popping!  This view is right outside my dinning room window!
Here is a closer up view:
And here is an even closer view!
I love it!  It makes me smile every time I see it.  In the mornings I sit on a certain side of the table just so I can get a better view and start my day better!

RED AND WHITE GAME!!!
Last Saturday we went to the Red and White Game.  It is Utah vs Utah, kind of a practice game, and it was a lot of fun!
Just a little while ago they put the PAC 12 symbol on the field.

Cortney eating her red and white snack!  yay for apples!

This is a picture of her clapping, I loved her hair this day!
 Fish lips!

I liked this, Cortney was taking pictures with Aunt Jenny's camera it was cute!  Props to Jen too, I would never let a two year old play with my camera and it isn't even that nice!
Picture of Cort and me, with my ridiculously long hair - thinking about cutting it...
Fun times!

Some cute stories and finally the video!

Earlier this week we were sitting eating dinner together and Cortney started arguing with herself saying,
"Is too, is not, is too is not."

We started laughing and asking her where she got that from.  She didn't understand the question so I asked if she got that from a show.  She said yes, when I asked her what show, she said baby show (Rugrats).  We are pretty sure it is Lil and Phil doing it. "Is too Lillian, is not Phillip." Randomly she will just start arguing with herself, smiling all the while.  We are going to have to be even  more careful what we say now.

This week was my first week in primary as my calling to teach the 7/8 year olds.  Our primary is pretty small and everyone came in a little late today.  So when we were first starting opening exercises the lady said, "There aren't many of us here today so we are going to have to sing really loud!"  There were two boys sitting directly behind me, I am guessing 9 or 10 range for age.  Right after she said that one of the boys said, "She is going to be sorry she ever said that, I am going to sing so loud her eardrums are going to explode!"  Then they both started laughing.  I think I am going to like primary!

This is a video that Chris filmed for us on Graduation day.  It pretty much hilarious, so watch it and enjoy!

A Trip to the Zoo!

Cortney and I had a wonderful day at the zoo.  We are fortunate to only live less than 10 minutes away and we really enjoy using our year pass!  I thought I would put up some pictures from our little trip!
First off check out our cool band aids!  This morning I cut myself with a knife while doing dishes (oh to have a dishwasher someday :)  anyway I put on the nearest band aid I could find - gotta love the magical powers of Dora band aids.  Anyway, upon seeing that i had a band aid Cortney immediately realized that she had an owie on her hand too!  And not only that but she desperately need a band aid as soon as possible or she might even die!  (it was so funny)  so we got her all fixed up and all day she kept saying mama's Dora, Cortneys Dora!
Now here we are at the zoo, this ball things is actually pretty cool!  If you look close enough you can see the world etched into it!  Not in this picture but in real life - in this picture you can see the reflections of the clouds which is also cool!
In these pictures she is laughing because she got wet - oh and why that is funny, not quite sure...  But I really like the 2nd picture

This is a little squirell we always stop to look at, Cortney calls him her friend!
Cortney being a monkey in the monkey house :)  Yes that is a "leash" on her.  Although I never really use it she just likes having George when we go to the zoo.  But to me it is kind of like a snuggie, I never really knew I liked it until I tried it out...

She saw some toys in their cage and asked me if she could go play with them, she kept saying "Mommy, toys!  Go play?!"
 The elephants were out!

Every time we see the elephants we sit down and have a little snack, this time it was cheese and crackers.

She loves, loves, loves the tigers!

We also had another snack of strawberries and whipped cream...yummy!
She was laughing in this picture because she took too much whipped cream and she thought it was funny how messy she was getting.

 I like this one ;)
This is Cort playing with 2 animal crackers she had, the momma and baby elephants

This is her eating the baby one...
We rode on the carousel - of course she had to sit on the tiger...rrrrarrrrr! (the sound a tiger makes!)

This is us on the train!

That is a usual day at the zoo for us!
