Cutest Phone Call Ever!

The other day we were playing at home and Cortney was "Calling" people on her phone again, this is what her side of the conversation sounded like:

"Hi Jenn! (Aunt Jenny; my sister)

How is the baby in your tummy?!

Is it going to come out today?  Oh not today?

It needs to get bigger first?  Ok, sounds good

bye!"

So excited for Jenn and Spencer and so excited that I finally get to become an aunt!  Congrats guys!

Rice Krispies & Knock Knock Jokes!

The other day Cortney decided she wanted to try Rice Krispies for breakfast.  She has had rice krispy treats, but she has never eaten the cereal before.  Right after I put the milk in I thought I would tell Cort how it talks to her.  So we listened to it and she was saying cute things the cereal was telling to her.  Usually when she eats breakfast I do dishes so I walked over and realized after about 5 minutes she hadn't started eating yet.  I asked her why and she said, "Mom I can't!  It is still talking!"  I think she was a little afraid of eating something that talks :)

Cortney has discovered knock knock jokes, but she doesn't quite get it yet and it is super cute, for example earlier today:

Me: Knock knock
Cort: Who's there?
Me: Dwain
Cort: Dwain oh that is funny ~giggles~

&

Cort: Knock knock
Me: Who's there?
Cort: I don't know mom, who is there?

Yo Gabba Gabba Concert!!!!

Warning! Lots and LOTS of pictures!

So we kept it a surprise the whole time, we thought it would be fun to see what Corts reaction would be.  We were actually home watching Yo Gabba Gabba at home when we starting getting Cortney ready and doing her hair.  We told her we were going to go to the surprise and she just said, "No!  I want to finish my show first!"  Little did she know!

So lets start the pictures!
This is on the way there, she didn't really know what was going on, but she could tell that Chris and I were excited so she kind of was! It was all only possible because we got the tickets more than 1/2 off, and we live 1 block away from where the concert was going to be held, it was just a great opportunity!
We got there and decided to get her 1 toy, she chose Brobee, her favorite Gabba!

This is what the stage looked like from our seats as we first got in!
We just hung out for a while waiting for the show to start.

She still didn't know exactly what was going to happen.

This was before the show started but this is about what she looked like for about the first 5 minutes after it actually started.

She just played with Brobee a lot

Then it started - the quality of some of the pictures are not that great, but if you watch the show you will know what is happening!

Then he came out on stage!  We were not sure if it was going to be the real DJ Lance but it was!  That made it kind of exciting, plus we also noticed he put on a little weight - not much but a little, which is good, he was way too skinny.

 Then the Gabbas came out!

For the first while she looked like this!  Until they play the Hold Still game, that is when she started smiling a lot!

It was hard to get  a picture of her smiling.

This was the guest for the super music friend show - I am not sure who he was but he was some rapper guy.

Then we sang the yummy yummy song!  The carrot ran right if front of us!  Cort kept saying, "I saw a giant carrot!"

Carrots, yeah! In my tummy party tummy! yeah!
You can see the "so yummy" in the background on the screen!

This was hard to see but it was biz from biz' beat of the day!  He was great with the kids!

This was the dancy dance friend.  I don't know his name but he is from the band Neon Trees.  He messed up so many times, hehe.
This is Cort dancing, Go crazy, go crazy!

Here is a shot I got with Brobee's mouth upside down.

 The end!

Cort was smiling the rest of the night, she has a streamer that fell around her neck.
One of the best parts of the night was that it was less than a 5 minute walk until we got home!  No driving and getting stuck in traffic!  Just a short walk home!  It was such a fun night and such a special treat!  Cort told me "that was a good special surprise mom!"  and "I had so much fun with you and daddy!"  that made the night worth it!
