Yellowstone Day 2 - Old Faithful

So the reason we have fewer pictures on this day is because our GPS sent us down this dirt road and we just thought it would be better to go back, so we didn't get into Yellowstone until 12, but it was all just part of the adventure!

On the way there we decided to stop by Horkleys, a gas station that sells soda really cheap.  We used to go there on dates all the time, then have burping contests, fun times.  Anyway we were a little shocked when we went in because they changed everything around, but don't worry they just moved the drinks to the back a little bit, and we got our Horkleys, and Cort had juice!  I didn't get a picture of this but it is a cute story... I found 2 free shows on i tunes to put on our ipod for the long car ride.  I got Super Why and Blues Clues.  More than once I would put on one show, and Cort would end up watching the other one, somehow she figured out how to change the video!

Our first stop was Old Faithful!  Literally perfect timing, right when we got up to the sign to take pictures the geyser went off!  Could not ask for more perfect timing!

 Daddy and Cortney!

 A couple pictures of me
Chris was making a face at me while he was taking this picture so I made a face back :)
This is Old Faithful Inn, it was amazing inside!
I have a better shot of this later but it is a giant fireplace that has this big clock on it, it was so pretty inside, like a giant log cabin!

This is a picture of the dinning room, where we enjoyed a nice buffet lunch that day.
They had these comfy chairs on the upper levels where you can sit and just people watch!
This is a view of old faithful from the second floor of the building
 Cort sitting on chairs

 Cort and Daddy!
She was trying to sit just like daddy!
Here is another view of the clock

 View from 2nd floor!

Everything was wood, it was so pretty, I thought these stairs were pretty cool!
And of course Chris checked the fire extinguishers - it is in his blood now!  In a place made of wood you need to make sure to stay on top of these things, and don't worry - they check them every month, and 2 days before we were there!

Cort was standing on a vent and being a little Madonna for us!

You will see a couple more pictures of the Inn in the next post because this is where we spent the night!
