We were attempting to explain the plot line of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory to Cortney today, and this is what happened:
Cortney: What is a factory?
Me: It is where they make things. What do you think they make in a chocolate factory?
Cortney: Paper!
Close honey, but not quite! I love her little answers, couldn't resist writing this one down!

The Animal Fair!
A couple weeks ago Cortney and her class put on a little show for us called the Animal Fair. Essentially it is just all the kids singing some songs for us! It was pretty dang cute!
Undoubtedly you will notice Oliver, he didn't really want to dance or sing, but he is seriously so cute! You should have seen him on Halloween he dressed up like a doctor! You will also see Corts teachers Jana, Rachel and Rebbecca. And their music teacher Dave-O.
Cortney will be the fourth from the right. They are all wearing shirts they got to decorate, and she is wearing her white skirt. They also made animal headbands - Cortney made a giraffe one!

Pictures!
Here are some pictures from her ballet the other day!
I snapped most before we went and a couple after. Here she is all dressed up!
Check out the awesome hair job! PS - this was not an easy thing to do with little girl wispy hair but I did it!
Putting on some chapstick!
Another view of the hair!
And of course, we needed to wear our rain boots to the performing arts center :) but not really it was a pretty hot day, I guess she was just trying to make a statement!
Her and her friend Isla from her ballet class!
Cortney holding her flowers outside right after, it was super bright outside after being in the theatre watching for so long, this was the best shot I could get.
Her flowers! I like them because they match her little tutu!

Cortney's First Ballet Perfomance!
Cortney had her first ballet performance today!!! Can I just say, cutest thing ever?! She is pretty young, so there is not much they can do, but I loved it! She was so adorable! Here is a link to the youtube video - warning 17 minutes long!!!
Cortney is wearing pink and she is the 3rd one that comes out at the beginning! I love everything about it!
My favorite parts were: How she walks out flat footed at the beginning! (was supposed to be on tippy toes) How when the girls come out to do teddy bear picnic she stands right in front of us and when she sees us she gets so excited! I love all her little poses! You cannot see it very well in the video because the lighting was not great, but I love how when Chris gives her her flowers she loved them! She had the biggest smile on her face, and she had to hold them the rest of the time!
The way it works is the little ones go first then they go down and sit with the parents and watch the older ones come out and dance (so they get to see what they will be doing soon). I only tapped Cortney's age group dancing.
Also Cortney's class only has about 5 people in it, so we didn't know all the other little girls who were dancing, but they were all super cute! Love it! Definitely doing it next year too! If anyone is looking for a ballet class in Medford Oregon area, Studio Roxander is amazing and reasonably priced! And now for the video, enjoy!

I took some pictures too, but it took so long to upload the video I don't have time to upload the pictures tonight! But they will come tomorrow, so be on the look out!

Last Day of Preschool!
My baby is growing up! Today was her last day of preschool! She is very excited to be so big now and go to pre-k next year! She is a sweet, inquisitive, loving girl! I am so glad she loved going to school and being with her teachers and all her friends!
Here is a picture of her on the first day of school and the last day of school, still has the whole hip sway thing going on, but look how much she has grown!
Also take a look at how much better our new welcome rug looks!

Updates!
Ok! Whew! It has been a super busy couple of months! Finally getting a chance to sit down and write some updates!
Frist off: Chris Turned 30!! Ok I know I am almost a month late about posting it, but like I said life has been busy! This is what he wanted for breakfast in bed: Corn puff cereal, toast with butter, and bacon...so that is what he got!
I was very nice about the whole thing by the way! I probably could have teased him a little more, but I only really did once. On his birthday we were in the car and he was listening to some music and I asked him if he was listening to a classic rock station :) since the songs were from high school. Ha ha, made him think for a second he was old, but don't worry he is back to is old self now. For dinner he wanted me to make chicken enchiladas and he had a cheesecake for his birthday cake. Here he is making one of his faces:

Cortney has memorized all the Articles of Faith! We have been singing them a ton at home and it has really helped! She needs help starting them off, so she just needs a couple words but then she has the rest down! We told her once she did she would get to go to cold stone! She was super excited to go tonight:
I could not decide which picture I liked more so I posted all 3. She decided she wanted "mini mouse" messy buns today!
Hello! She decided to get cookies and cream ice cream with gummy bears, m & m's, and chocolate sprinkles. I think this might have been the first time she has had chocolate sprinkles because when she found out the even existed she was pretty excited about it!
Cute pictures of Cortney! I cannot believe how big she is getting!
This Friday will be her last day of Preschool! She is very excited to be in pre-k next year and keeps talking about how she is going to be so big and in Pre-k...growing up too fast!
*******
Cortney also had a big presentation at her school were they all sang songs. I video taped it only to realize that I can no longer find the cord that goes from the camera to the computer. But stay tuned she has a ballet performance this Saturday which I will also be taping and maybe I can find the cord between now and then!
*****
I put this on facebook as well, but I really enjoyed a game of Monopoly I played with Cort recently. She had so much money that she opened her own bank and then tried to convince us to use her bank. Silly, smart little girl!
That is about all the updates I have time for now. But since things are going to slow down here soon I should have more time to update the blog
